As the U.S. unfriends the rest of the world, it increases its spending on weapons. It’s a well worn strategy. One that always fails, of course. But what the heck? It’s what the people want.
Just think how the chicken hawks in all of those other countries must feel — the countries that spend so much less on their military. But perhaps they have fewer chicken hawks than does the U.S. (Yes, Mr. Ryan, you are a chicken hawk. Just like the president.)
